When you are first learning how to drive, one of the things that you are going to hear over and over and over again is that you need to drive defensively.

This doesn’t mean that you should drive like your father. What it does mean is that you have to keep a watch on what the other drivers around you are doing, and anticipate what they are going to do. If you are able to do this, you will be able to avoid a lot of fender benders, which, of course, are not something you want to happen.
