Price of a Speeding Ticket In Arizona 2017

The BASE price of speeding tickets in Arizona are set individually at the court level. The three largest Municipal Courts are Phoenix, Tucson and Mesa. Then the City, State and County add Fee’s.

Court Technology Fee – City
Probation Fee – County
State Law Enforcement Fund
Fines/Fees and Restitution Enforcement (FARE) Fee – State
Victim’s Rights Fund – State

Each Municipal Court publishes the fines on their city websites or you may receive a document called the “Bond Card” with your ticket that defines the amount of money you owe if you decide to pay the ticket.

Accused Speeders can take a Defensive Driving Program in lieu of paying the ticket once every 12 months. Curiously, how fast you were going does not matter for a defensive driving course. It is the same price (Classroom/Online) Phoenix $235/$237.95, Mesa, $220/$222.95, Tucson $230/$232.95. In Arizona you don’t pay the ticket if you complete a Defensive Driving Course. The course also saves the increased insurance costs because the ticket will not show up on your record!
